This herbal formula helps to soothe an irritated respiratory tract, relieve dry coughs and act as an expectorant for stubborn phlegm. Some herbs in this formula help to soothe inflammation and are astringents. Plantain, Iceland moss and licorice are especially soothing to dry, irritated coughs while thyme, fennel and elecampane are expectorants that have antispasmodic properties. Nettle and plantain are especially good for soothing inflammation of the mucous membranes.
Suggested Use: Adults: To prepare a cup of tea, infuse 1 tea bag (1.9 g) in 150-250 mL of boiling water. Allow the herbs to steep for at least 10 minutes. Drink 1 cup of tea 2-3 times daily.
