D3 2500 provides 2,500 IU (62.5 mcg) of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) per capsule for increased bioavailability. The vitamin D receptor is present in nearly all human cells, demonstrating the important role of vitamin D in supporting good health. Despite its importance to many physiological functions, many Canadians have inadequate levels of vitamin D. This may result from insufficient sun exposure, wearing covering clothes, limited consumption of vitamin D-containing foods, dark skin colour, older age, or low intake of vitamin D supplements. With just one capsule daily, this formula helps prevent vitamin D deficiency and may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis when combined with sufficient calcium, a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Suggested Use:
Adult Dose: Take 1 capsule daily or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. To be taken with an adequate intake of calcium. Consult your healthcare practitioner for use beyond 6 months.

Risk Information: Do not use this product if you have hypercalcemia or hypercalciuria. Consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney disorders, or if you take other vitamin D supplements, multivitamin supplements containing vitamin D, or products containing vitamin D analogues, or any prescription medications including antacids, anticonvulsants, digoxin, cholestyramine, colestipol, mineral oil, steroids, statins, or thiazide diuretics. 15-20 mcg (600-800 IU) of vitamin D per day is adequate for most individuals. Consult your healthcare practitioner to determine if you would benefit from additional vitamin D before taking this product. Stop use and consult your healthcare practitioner if weakness, fatigue, drowsiness, headache, lack of appetite, dry mouth, metallic taste, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, ringing in the ears, lack of coordination and muscle weakness occur which are early symptoms of hypercalcemia or if you have any other side effects. Keep out of the reach of children. Use only if safety seal is intact. Store in a cool, dry place.
