SAMe is the primary methyl donor in the brain.* It is a required cofactor in the conversion of norepinephrine to epinephrine and serotonin to melatonin.* Additionally, SAMe is a cofactor for the enzyme catechol-o-methyltransferase, which breaks down catecholamine neurotransmitters.*
